Recently released by the Ministry of Education, A Rapid Review of Grouping Practices for Equitable Outcomes is a piece of work carried out by Tātai Aho Rau on the Ministry’s behalf to provide a rapid review of literature about grouping practices that contribute to equitable and inclusive outcomes for all ākonga, as well as providing examples to illustrate these practices.
It also reinforces the research that flexible grouping coupled with targeted support and the creation of inclusive, high-expectations environments, are key to fostering equity and ensuring all students can achieve their potential.
